Found in the clearance bin at my local grocery store. I haven’t had a PBR in 25 years or more. Of course, this one might just be that old.

Whoa, that is cheap.

I know! It's not very expensive, either. That's why I bought it.

You can get 6 16oz cans at Walmart for $5.70. But really 50 cents!

Ahhh, the movie where I fell in love with Laura Dern.

It’s chilling now. Should I decant it, or drink it from the can? I find beer is better when you let breathe a bit.

The question that just came to mind is, “How long has that been sitting around?” They may have found it on the floor of the store room. Ah, screw it. I’ll still drink it.

PBR is the worst of the best beers.
Let’s break that down.
You’ve got your bad beers, your mid-range beers, and the good beers. PBR is the last good beer before you get in to the mid-range. The worst of the best.
There are plenty of “fancy” beers that I love. But if given the option, I’ll always take a PBR.
Also, Budweiser makes me vomit. Literally. Something about it or in it makes me puke. Just one Bud. Not already drunk, just one and it’s coming right back up.

I was traveling last week, and bought a 12 pack of Bud cans for lack of anything better at the convenience store. Yeah, it was awful. Now, a Bud in a bottle (not a can) that is chilled to about 33 degrees is palatable, but I won’t be buying any more any time soon.

I suppose the local grocer is getting out of the cheap Russian beer market?

NP. It’s awful, but it’s a $.50 beer.

If it’s cold enough it’ll be fine.
I think.

Meanwhile my stuff store destroyed 312 bottles of Bud because a pallet tipped dropping 13 cases of 24. Rather than salvage any and mark them down to be sold cheap and recoup some of the money lost our managers said to waste them (along with a couple of cases of Stella, etc...).
Managers are sodding idiots.

NP. Some bars charge $3 for a PBR tallboy!

First time in my life I ever got drunk was drinking warm Red White & Blue. Do they still make that stuff?
